Lineagen’s FirstStep
Dx and its related developmental screening services have been very thoughtfully developed with the specific intention of helping physicians, patients, and families more efficiently navigate the “odyssey” of evaluating and diagnosing children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) or other forms of developmental delay. While the awareness and prevalence of autism is ever increasing, the typical patient with ASD in the current diagnostic paradigm has the diagnosis substantiated after it is too late to gain the most from intervention. Lineagen has developed an integrated suite of services to assist pediatricians and parents in the more timely and efficient evaluation of children while providing developmental and genetic specialists with immediate access to relevant clinical decision-making information.
In 2007 the American Academy of Pediatrics introduced the components of a comprehensive evaluation of autism and developmental delay. The following diagram has been adapted from this publication; to view the original publication in its entirety, click

Lineagen’s services provide physicians and parents with the first fully integrated platform to manage the complexities of the diagnostic evaluation of autism and other disorders of childhood development.
